Installation Guidelines
As a Lock Nut (Jam Nut Method - Recommended Practice):
First, tighten the primary, load-bearing nut to its specified torque against the workpiece.
Then, thread the ISO 4035 thin nut against the primary nut.
Hold the primary nut stationary with one wrench.
Using a second wrench, tighten the thin nut firmly against the primary nut to create a strong friction lock that resists vibration.
For Spacing or Thread Protection:
Thread the nut onto the bolt or stud to the desired position to act as a precise gap filler or to shield threads from damage.
Crucial Note: When used for locking, the thin nut is always secondary. The primary nut must carry the full clamp load. The thin nut's function is solely to lock the primary nut in place.
